Orienpet Hybrids Lily Bulbs - OT Hybrids
One of the 'newer' lilium varieties is the Orienpet' it is a lily that is a little more tolerant of heat, and dry conditions and well suited to our gardens.
First bred in America they are a hybrid between Oriental Lilies and Trumpet Lilies, tough, disease resistant and an excellent choice for the garden.
Masses of flowers, we have seen the wonderful yellow flowering 'Conca d' Or' with around 30 flowers. Flowers face outwards so are really showy, allowing us to gaze deeply into the center.
Anastasia with its fragrant pink and crimson flowers is a tall cultivar and very popular.
Fragrant and coming in a range of colors these lilies have large bulbs, almost as big as a tennis ball. Magnificent flowers on tall stems, some to 2.5m in height. The flowers open progressively, the lower ones opening first , and are usually the largest the upper flowers open later.
Propagation is by division of established clumps and scaling. Scaling is a process best left to experienced growers.
Plant in groups of 3 or 4 for a fantastic display.
